Bierman Funeral Home & Crematory is seeking a licensed MN funeral director or intern (with an opportunity for a future position as a funeral director) to join our team in Northfield, MN. The work environment is relaxed and task-oriented. A successful candidate will be an independent
person with a strong work ethic. It is also imperative that they be community-minded and have strong oral and written communication skills. Each team member must do their part with the understanding that nothing will be asked of you that we don’t ask of ourselves. Job duties will
include all facets of funeral service: removals, arrangements, embalming, applying cosmetics, services, crematory operation and other duties affiliated with the day-to-day tasks of operating the funeral home. We have a smaller, separate retort for pet cremations and would ask that any
potential candidate be willing to learn and help with the operation of our pet crematory as well as work with families that have had a pet pass away.
Northfield is a wonderful town. It’s close enough to the cities to enjoy many of the things that they have to offer. It is also amongst two colleges, farms, and a thriving downtown. You can get the best of both worlds.
The candidate would expect the following in their employment agreement:
•Salary ($50,000-$100,000) pay dependent on experience.
•Fringe benefits (Health Insurance, 401K).
•On call schedule of every other day, every other weekend with 4 days off every 2 weeks.
•Paid time off: minimum 2 weeks per year.
