Vicki J. McDowell, 55, Springfield, Virginia resident, died Tuesday July 31, 2012 at the Greenville SC University Medical Center.
She was born June 19, 1957 at Rapid City, SD, the daughter of Ozzie and Beverly (Bock) Osheim. Vicki grew up and attended schools in Rapid City, graduating from Central High School in Rapid City in 1975.
Survivors include her husband, Michael McDowell, Springfield, VA; stepsons Adam McDowell and his wife Jessica and their two sons, Smith and Reeves, Greer, SC and Christopher McDowell and his wife Peg, Spartanburg, SC; her parents, Ozzie and Bev Osheim, Rapid City; sisters, Gayle Petersen and her husband John, Rapid City and Janice Osheim-Kubal and her husband Michael, Rapid City and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe Bob and Nancy McDowell, Waynesville, NC.
Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved son Andrew McDowell.
Cremation has taken place and family services and inurnment will take place in late September in Rapid City. A memorial has been established for Crazy Horse Memorial at Custer, SD.
